Stainless steel pipe is a kind of hollow long cylindrical steel. Its scope of application is used as a pipeline for conveying fluid. It is mainly used in industrial transmission pipelines such as petroleum, chemical industry, medical treatment, food, light industry, mechanical instruments and mechanical structural components. Stainless steel pipes are made of steel billets of acid and heat resistant grades through heating, perforation, sizing, hot rolling and cutting. In fact, no product can be protected from corrosion unless it is in some serious cases. If our stainless steel plate is corroded, it may affect its normal use. Therefore, we still need to take some preventive measures to avoid this situation. Now let's first understand the factors that cause corrosion of stainless steel plates?
(1) Electrochemical corrosion: The scratch caused by the contact between stainless steel plate and carbon steel parts, and then form a galvanic cell with corrosive medium, which will produce electrochemical corrosion. If the pickling passivation effect is not good, the passivation film on the surface of the plate will also be uneven or too thin, which is also easy to produce electrochemical corrosion, slag cutting, splash and other rust prone substances attached to the plate, and then form a galvanic cell with the corrosive medium, resulting in electrochemical corrosion. Pickling and passivation cleaning is not clean, resulting in chemical corrosion products between the remaining pickling and passivation residue and the plate, and then electrochemical corrosion with the plate.
(2) Under certain conditions, many greasy dirt, dust, acid, alkali, salt, etc. attached to the surface of stainless steel plates will be converted into corrosive media, which will react chemically with some components in the plates, resulting in chemical corrosion and rust. Cleaning, pickling and passivation are not clean enough, resulting in the retention of residual liquid, which directly corrodes the plate. The surface of the plate is scratched, which leads to the destruction of the passive film, so the protective ability of the plate is reduced, and it is easy to react with chemical media.
